TQUK Level 4 & 5 Diploma in Education Studies (RQF)

(MQA NQF level 5 & 6 equivalence)

Who is it suitable for?

Are you interested in the education of children aged between 3 and 16? Are you thinking about pursuing a career within education or becoming a primary school teacher? This diploma will give you a sound foundation for further study relevant to a range of roles within education. You'll develop your understanding of policy and practice in primary education, and gain the knowledge and skills needed to work collaboratively and equitably in a range of settings.

What are our entry requirements?

Candidates should possess a Cambridge Higher School Certificate or any NQF level 4 equivalence in the education field.

Do you need to be working to take this qualification?

A minimum of 350 placement hours is required. During placement, learners will need support from a professional within the real work environment who will be required to complete professional development records.

 

Learners will need to be working, volunteering or on practical placement to be able to show competence in both knowledge and skills. It is not essential for learners to be in employment to undertake this qualification but they will need to make arrangement to complete their training portfolio.

How is it assessed? 

All units are internally assessed by your Tutor or Assessor using a portfolio of evidence. At the end of our academic year TQUK will carry out an External Quality Assurance of the qualifications.

To gain this qualification the learner will need to:  

• Pass all units  

• Complete all marked assignments and coursework  

• Show competence in a real work environment

How long does it take to complete?

These qualifications will take 14 months to complete.
