Mr. Rayish Ramrakha is an accomplished scientific and education leader with over 20 years of professional experience spanning Blood Sciences, Molecular Biology, and Virology in the United Kingdom. He currently serves as a Lead Scientist, having successfully led and managed multiple pathology departments across prestigious healthcare institutions, including King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, and The Doctors Laboratory.

Alongside his clinical leadership, Mr. Ramrakha is the Chief Executive Officer of The Manchester Institute of Training Qualifications Ltd (MITQ). In 2016, he played a pivotal role in partnering with Training Qualifications UK (TQUK) to develop and implement strategic initiatives aimed at modernising the education and training landscape in Mauritius.

Driven by a strong commitment to widening access to education, his vision has been to create alternative, high-quality academic and professional pathways for learners who are unable to progress directly to university after secondary education. Through his leadership, MITQ has successfully established progression routes that allow learners to advance to degree-level study, including opportunities to complete their final year at university through recognised partnerships.
