TQUK Level 5 Diploma for Senior Practitioners in an Early Years Setting (RQF)

What does the qualification cover?

Early Years professionals play a vital role in the development of babies and young children. As natural leaders, Early Years Senior Practitioners raise the standards of growth and learning against a steadfast curriculum and framework. You can now take your experience to the highest level with our Level 5 Early Years Senior Practitioner Diploma by promoting best practice and championing quality standards, they ensure all daily objectives are fulfilled.

Who is it suitable for?

This qualification is specially designed for Managers, Team Leaders and Early Years professionals within the Early Years Education.

What are our entry requirements?

Candidates should possess a Cambridge School Certificate or Passes obtained on one certificate at the General Certificate of Education “Ordinary Level" and NQF level 4 Diploma in Early Childhood.

​

Do you need to be working to take this qualification?

A minimum of 350 placement hours is required. During placement, learners will need support from a professional within the real work environment who will be required to complete professional development records.

 

Learners will need to be working, volunteering or on practical placement to be able to show competence in both knowledge and skills. It is not essential for learners to be in employment to undertake this qualification but they will need to make arrangement to complete their training portfolio.

How is it assessed?

All units are internally assessed by your Tutor or Assessor using a portfolio of evidence. At the end of our academic year TQUK will carry out an External Quality Assurance of the qualifications.

To gain this qualification the learner will need to:  

• Pass all units  

• Complete all marked assignments and coursework  

• Show competence in a real work environment

​

How long does it take to complete?

This qualification will take 12 months to complete.
